Tankless Water Heaters

The Hitching Ring now offers a great alternative to cold baths using water straight from the hose. A tankless water heater offers a warm bath wherever you are. At the barn, or at a show. The Eccotemp tankless water heater is easy to transport, easy to set up and easy to use. All that is required is the same propane tank that is used for a BBQ!

I use this product myself. Previously I used a cold hose  and found myself saying "sorry" a lot to the horses I bathed, as the cold water got too much or when  you hosed under their tail. Cold water might feel OK on a really hot day after a workout, for short periods, but the length of time it takes for a bath is too long and I think the horse gets chilled. I use it for my dogs too. When they come home from a really fun walk that involved a lot of muddy puddles, they go to the barn for a hose off before they go into the house.  I like to think they appreciate the warm water. I know I would.

This product is easy to set up and use. I have the L5. It takes a minute before the water warms up but then it lasts the full bath. I love it and wish I had  one sooner.

The portable series tankless water heaters are not meant for permanent installation and should always be drained, taken down and stored away in a warm environment when not in use. This helps to keep water from freezing, expanding and busting the pipes inside that are responsible for providing you that lovely hot water.

DO NOT leave your portable water heater outside in the elements; rain, dust, bugs, and even sometimes mice can find their way into your tankless water heater. This series should NEVER be permanently installed and left outside, especially during the cold and wet weather.

 The Eccotemp L5 and Eccotemp L10 model heaters have a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter in the hardware pack for attachment of the LP hose to the heater. This adapter must be installed with thread sealant , a spool of pipe tape which is included with the tankless water heater is recommended for use. Multiple wraps of pipe tape may be necessary to assure complete seal. Always check for gas leaks before using the heater. Before attempting to light the water heater make sure to look and smell for gas leaks. Use a soapy solution to check all gas fittings and connections. Bubbling at a connection indicates a leak that must be corrected. When smelling to detect a gas leak, be sure to sniff near the floor also.

Please Note: Failure to clean and descale your water heater quarterly can result in lime and sediment build up within the heater, which can void your warranty! We recommend using our Eccotemp EZ-Flush System Descaler Kit to ensure a clean, energy efficient, long lasting heater.
